Lunch at Dusit D2 Rouge Deck

All you need is a good laugh and a support system that will not judge.

Hey! Hey! Hey!

Can someone please explain to me why it’s so cold? Is this how winter feels like? I’m just so confused ’cause I don’t remember last year being this cold.

Anyway, two Saturday’s ago, my girls and I went for lunch at The Rouge Deck at Dusit D2 and I must say, having that time out form all the hupla in life is always worth it.

Faith & Fiona. Friends from 2003

Don’t we look all cute and stuff? The three of us have been friends since 2003 and I must say seeing this two grow into the women they are is just AMAZING.
Our plan was to dress up and just hang out, but as you can see, I kinda, sorta threw that plan out the window. Hahahaha but I still looked cute, right?

Knit Top – Belonged to Mum.
Jeans – Toi Market (Ksh.200)
Head tie – Street in town.

As you can see, I opted for a knit top that I made off-shoulder and my favourite pair of jeans EVER.
For my hair, I just put it up in a bun and tied a headscarf, because girl, my hair was a mess.

Lunch was okay, I’ll give it a 5/10, at least for what I had, the fish & chips.
Now, I love me some strawberry Daiquiri and for the life of me, I don’t know why it isn’t at every single establishment, but that’s okay.
I ended up ordering the daiquiri and let me just tell you the rum in it, hit me like a ton of bricks, but I liked it. 8/10.

If you plan on trying it out, I recommend it for a nice afternoon hangout because they close at 6:30pm.

Here is a vlog from the day, plus you get to meet my friends. 😀

Hope you enjoyed today’s post. If there are places in Nairobi you’d like me and my friends to try out, let me know.

Smile, you don’t know who you’re making happy

GRWM |Darling Kenya Product Launch

Step out of your comfort zone baby, that’s where all the fun is.

One of my goals of this year was to step out of my comfort zone and last week Thursday, I had the opportunity to do so with Nurtured Knotts at the Darling Kenya product launch at Sankara.

I don’t know about you, but the first 2 months of 2018 have been amazing for me so far and I am sending you the vibes I have, so that your year can be just as amazing or even better.

First thing that came into my mind was what will I wear, I own nothing formal or elegant, I seriously need to revamp my whole wardrobe.
Then 2 hours to the event that’s when I came up with this ensemble.
And let’s just note that this is the only time I am last minute, when it comes to my outfit.

Case and point, Hairitage Chronicles is on Saturday and my outfit is being made in less than 3 days.
Please pray for me. :’-(

Top | Mini dress
Pants | Mum’s
Trench thing | Made by me
Shoes | Thrifted
Hair | Marini Naturals

Now, you see how everything just came together? Kris was also just amazed and had to pick up his jaw. Hahahahaha.
I was so comfortable and felt like an adult, boss lady who know’s what she is doing. 😀
All I want now is to live in pants like this, high waisted and long, because yaaaaaaas.

I was also able to film myself getting ready and got a few clips from the event.
Here you go;

Let me know;
Do you plan your outfits or you just wing it?

My Style

Simple but Cute Valentine’s Outfit.

But baby, it’s cold outside.

Happy Valentine’s day my loves.

For some weird reason, I have woken up in such a good mood, despite that its cold and wet outside. I just want to listen to loud music do my work for the day and have random conversations with myself.

On Monday I showed you guys what I’d wear if I was going out tonight, click here if you haven’t seen that yet.

And for today, I’ll show you what I’d wear. If you’ve read my other style posts, you already know I’m all about that simple, comfortable life and this outfit is all about that.

I’m all about oversized clothing. I just love how my little, but growing frame disappers, just too cute.

Oversized shirt – Used to belong to mum.
Bodycon dress – Thrifted.
Shoes – Thrifted.

I just enjoy the contrast from baggy and oversize to damn girl, kumbe you got a body underneath all that. It’s basically unwrapping a present. Hahahahaha

Choker – Kilimall.
Lippie – Huddah Cosmetics in Nimoh

And with this fit, there is no need for a lot of accessories, keep it simple girl.

Hope you enjoyed.

My Style | Colour Block

Good Morning!

I’m so glad it’s Friday, I just finished my 4th exam paper and I have 3 more to go. Struggles of doing 7 units in order to finish your undergraduate in 3 years. All I want to do is eat, sleep, listen to music and not think of exams till Monday. 29th better get itself here, I’m in need of a vacation and I just can;t wait to get out of Nairobi.

Anyway, enough of that. 🙂 🙂 🙂

First of all, I want to say how humbled and over the moon that I am the caramel face of Put Your Face On by Sabrina. I am still excited to this day. I enjoy working for her and begin part of this and seeing her dreams come true.

Some time last week, we had a photo shoot, so I decided to pair an oversized mustard shirt and purple pencil skirt with my new black suede heels from Fabtrends.

I just love how the colours work well together. And if you know me, I love baggy items because they let me breathe, especially with the heat in Nairobi. The pencil skirt is such a versatile piece. You can dress it up with a pair of heels and fitting blazer, or a sweatshirt and pair of vans and you are good to go. Excuse the leg, don’t even ask.

The shoes are very comfortable. Perfect fit, perfect height and perfect colour. I’d actually sleep in them, but. . .

As usually, my hair was in a puff, but honestly this was day 3 or 4 of a twist out, so she had to be tied up. 🙂 🙂 🙂

And I think I might be reconsidering my decision on this whole make up situation, haha, Sabrina just has a way of making me look so good and flawless. And the combination of the blue eyes and pink lips just does it for me. Don’t you think so? 🙂

Hope you enjoyed the read and have an amazing weekend.

Talk to you soon.

My Style

Sporty Chic

Good Morning,

Another week has come and gone, I’m just happy of how fast time is moving cause that just means that my big 21 is just 46 days away. Y’all don’t know the amount of excitement in me.

On another note, I think we are finally done with the cold weather. The sun is out, The sky is clear and blue, and it smells like spring. I know I’m not the only one who is ready to soak in some sun in cute, short outfits and all.

To welcome this beautiful weather, I opted for a simple, sporty look.

Lets, talk about this shorts, they’re the very first pair of shorts that I made. Very comfortable and cute, they also have pockets. 🙂 Paired them with my favourite blue top and my all time fav, comfy shoes, the tomy’s. if you don’t own a pair, I suggest you do, they are affordable.

For accessories, I went for this pretty blue beads and chain necklace by Jane’s Beads and my everyday arm candy.

Isn’t blue just a calming colour. Just rests my active soul. Haha

Anyway, I shall leave you with that, it’s time for me to go hang with my people.

Enjoy your Furahi Day (Happy Friday) as we Kenyan’s say. 😉

My Style

Keeping It Cropped

Good Morning,

One of my all-time favourites is the cropped top, I’m not ashamed to say that I have an addiction to them. I remember growing up as a child we used to call them “Tumbo Cuts” cause they literally cut your stomach in half.

Anyway, back to business. I’ve never been a chunky jewellery type of girl, I’m weird, I know, but there was something about this pearl piece that caught my eye and I just had to have it. Though its chunky, It doesn’t look like it is. And I love how perfectly it sits, not too high, not too low. Get it, Got it. Good. Haha, don’t ask, I think I’ve had too much of pure air.

I opted to pair the cropped top, with low rise jeans and a cropped jacket.

This outfit made me feel sexy and comfortable. I always believe that if you aren’t comfortable in what you’re don’t bother with it.

If you don’t have a pearl piece in your collection, I have no idea what you’re waiting for.

Thanks for stopping by.

Jeans – Thrifted (Adam’s)

Touch Of Floral

It is not everyday you get to play around with the sun.

Good Morning,

I have you missed y’all so much, you have no idea. Thank God my exams are over and I have a few weeks to relax and enjoy myself.

Can I simply ask, why is it cold and we are almost done with August? Like honestly, the sun should be out and I shouldn’t be walking around my house in my duvet, my poor body is suffering over here. 😦

Anyway, enough with my rumbling. The other day the sun decided to grace us with it’s presence so it was time for me to dust off my cute little skirt and show off some legs 😉

I’m one of those girls who loves having fun with clothes but being totally comfortable, and this outfit was just the perfect fit for  this day. Double C (Cute & Comfortable)

I decided to pair it up with this beautiful piece from Jane’s Beads Ke I just loved how the black and red in the necklace was picked up in the skirt. If you know me, I never like planning my outfits, ’cause I end up changing them at the last minute the only thing that remains are my shoes. To me random is always best.

Hi, I’m a short girl and I love my heels. Honestly, is there any girl who doesn’t love heels? Whether tall or short, those bad boys make you feel so good and I never mind the added height, at least I won’t be tip-toeing to hug anyone when I’m in them 😉

This piece is just gorgeous, simple yet bold. And I Love It.

Have an awesome Furahi Day and enjoy your weekend.
